Camlock Coupling Type C

    Camlock Coupling Type C is one type of camlock couplings which are also known as Cam and Groove coupling, quick coupling, which is a reliable quick connect couplings for use on hose, pipe, tubing and tanks conveying a wide variety of liquids, dry bulk materials and vapors including cooling water, fuels, chemicals, cosmetics, food products, adhesives, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pellets and much more media.

   Camlock Coupling Type C, one side is Camlock Coupler, to connect camlock coupling with coupler side (  A, E, F, DP). The other side is Hose shank, usually connect with flex hoses, such as suction rubber hose, layflat pvc hose, layflat fire hose and clear PVC suction hose.

Q1: What is your camlock couplings standard, are they interchanable with Dixon or other brand camlock couplings?

A1: Our Camlock couplings according to AA59326 (MIL-C-27487) and EN14420-7(DIN2828)

Yes, they are interchangeable with famouse brand suplier camlock couplings, such as Dixon Valve, PT camlock couplings. For the 8", our facotry has two molds, one is matachable to Dixon 8" cam grrove, the other matches to PT's 8" cam groove. When you order the 8" camlock coupling, please confirm which type you need to make everything clear.

Q2: Does your Aluminum Camlock coupling do T6 treatment ?

A2: For AL Camlock coupling, we have two casting ways, use different casting materials:

1. Gravity casting: we use ASTM A356 material, we can do T6 treatment.

2. Die casting: we use ASTAM A380 material, this material, can not do T6 treatment.

   
   

Q3: For the Camlock arms, what material you can offer?

A3: We can offer SS316, SS304, SS301, SS202, Brass, Forged AL and PP material.

SS Camlock couplings, the standard is SS304 polished arms, SS316 is available on request.

AL Camlock coupling, the standard is SS301/SS202 arms, AL golden color, 304, Brass arms are available on request.

Brass Cam and groove coupling, the standard is brass arms, ss304/ss301 is available on request.

PP and NY camlock coupling, the standard is SS304/SS301 arms, Plastic arm is available on request.

Q4: Can you offer 20bar working pressrue for DN100(4") Camlock couplings?

A4: Yes, through change the gasket sealing position design, we can improve the working pressure for large size camlock couplings.

Q5: When asseamble the camlock adaptor to coupler, sometimes it is hard to press down, do you have this problem?

A5: No, as all our camlock couplings drill the two pin drill holes in one time, we had designed the fix tool for them. And we also smear lubricate oil on the arm head, which make it more smoothly into the cam groove, then get a tight closed position.

Q6: Can we change a thicker camlock gasket to improve the Camlock coupling working pressure? 

A6: We are not advise to do so. We can adjust the pin drill hole posistion to change the compression rate, the standard compression rate is 1.6, we can improve to 1.9, then let the Camlock couplings afford a higher pressure in the hoses and pipeline. The best way is change the sealing position design to improve the working pressure.

Q7: What kinds of hose the Camlock Type C used for?

A7: Camlock coupling Type C have different kinds of hosetail. We can offer bamboo type, multi-barb serrated type and scroll type.

Bamboo type hosetail type C always usend in Layflat Hose,  Wire spiral clear PVC hose;

Multi-barb serrated hosetail type C always used in Rubber hose and Spiral PVC/PU hose and hydraulic rubber hose and air hose.

Scroll tail type C always used in Composite hose.

We also can offer flanged Type C, we called it FLC. Normally used in tank industries. The flange standard including EN1092-1, ASTM B16.5 150LB,  square flange and TTMA standard flange. Normally used together with our FLA.

Q8: What kinds of clamps or ferrules are used together with Type C camlock coupling?

A8: It is according to the hose type and Camlock coupling hose tail types.

Superior Clamp/worm drive clamp: used together with bamboo hosetail type C, to assemble layflat hose or clear PVC hose.

Heavy duty double bolt clamp/hydraulic ferrules: used together with multi-barb type C in rubber hose.

Spiral clamp(Tiger clamp): used together with scroll tail type C in composite hose or spiral woven PVC/PU flex hose.

Straight sleeve are much popular to sued together in large dimension layflate hose, such as NBR/PVC layflat hose and TPU hope.

Composite hose ferrule is the standard choice for the composite hose.

Six-slot Crimp Ferrules are more and more popular to assemble the rubber hose with the crimp groove type C camlock coupling.

Q9：What gasket you can offer for the Camlock couplings? And what is the gasket hardness?

A9：We can offer NBR, EPDM, Silicon(MVQ), FPM/Vition, Half envelop PTFE( PTFE/EPDM, PTFE/VITION, PTFE/NBR)

Q10: What should I do if I find quality problem in using?

A10: Firstly, we will find out the reason caused the problem and avoid the problem happen again. Then we offer replacement for any defective caused by non-human reasons.
